Looking for some sporty weekend away ideas for your static caravan holidays?

Why not consider Bidford upon Avon? There are some truly fantastic sporty events going on, you and the whole family will enjoy. Here are just a few of the quirky ideas:

Golf

Golf is an excellent sport for everyone, very competitive, relaxed and enjoyable. Bidford Grange Golf Course is set amongst one hundred and fifty acres of beautiful countryside with the front and middle tees great for everyone. The back tees will be a challenge to the most professional and experienced golfers. It is said that Bidford Golf Course has some of the best golf greens in the United Kingdom.

Flying

At Bidford Gliding and Flying Club you get the chance to fly with a qualified gliding instructors and maybe even handle the controls and fly the glider yourself! Underneath, you’ll be able to see the River Avon weaving you and if you’re lucky enough to get a clear day you will see the River Severn miles in the distance. A truly breathtaking experience up in the clouds.

Boat

You can also pop on a boat and have a cooling trip down the River Avon, there are pubs and restaurants along the riverside so you can hop off and have a beverage or two.

Biking

Alternatively, you could take a bike with you or hire one once you’re there. Some truly spectacular countryside is waiting to be explored. Make sure you admire the stunning views while you are out and about on your bike.
