Caravan Easter Egg Hunt | Allens Caravans News Update
Allens Caravans

Easter will soon be here, and we all know what that means…plenty of chocolate! Even if you don’t eat much chocolate yourself, it is still the perfect time to get together with family and friends as the Easter weekend brings with it not one, but two bank holidays!

The four-day weekend means having plenty of time with friends and family, filled with fun, excitement and, yes, lots and lots of Easter eggs. Help the little ones make the most of the holiday this year by organising an Easter egg hunt for the kids to enjoy. With plenty of hiding spaces available both in and outside of the luxury caravans you will find in our parks, you can keep the kids occupied for a morning or afternoon.

If you are planning on being away this Easter, it is an even better excuse to celebrate. Easter egg hunts in holiday caravans may be a little challenging, but on a holiday park, there is a lot more scope for fun and games.

Choose Holiday Caravans for the Whole Family

Make it a proper family occasion by inviting your loved ones along for a short break with you. If you don’t all have your own touring caravans, consider hiring a static caravan in the UK for the Easter holiday. This way, with your children there and any grandchildren running around all excited for their Easter eggs, it’s impossible not to get into the holiday spirit!

So how should you go about organising an Easter egg hunt in your holiday caravan?

First thing’s first, you need chocolate – and lots of it! Head out to the shops and stock up on plenty of chocolate, sweets and other delicious goodies. Make sure to get a good variety so there is something even the fussiest of eaters will enjoy. Consider everyone’s dietary requirements before hitting the shops, which means considering gluten-free and vegan alternatives.

Preparing for Your Easter Egg Hunt

You need to decide on how you want your hunt to work. Will you just hide treats around your holiday caravan and employ a ‘first to find gets to keep it’ rule? Or do you want to create individual, personalised eggs for each participant? If it’s the latter, this is the perfect excuse to get crafty and create some fun eggs which you can then fill with treats for the hunt.

The best way to make personalised eggs is to decorate a plain ready-made Easter egg using decorations such as icing, small chocolates (such as buttons) and other edibles that can easily be stuck to the egg. You can decide to write out the names of the child/adult (because why shouldn’t adults get involved?) or draw out pretty patterns to jazz them up.

Now you’re ready to go, the only thing left to do is hide the eggs! Depending on the age of the little ones, try to pick a range of hiding places, with some easy and some more challenging ones for variety. Weather permitting, it may be better to arrange your hunt outdoors, as good hiding places in touring caravans can be rather limited. It could also be a nice idea to get together with other families in your caravan holiday park for an even bigger and better Easter egg hunt!

Activities for All

The whole idea of a family holiday is to spend some quality time together. While a week inside relaxing might be perfect for you, the children will no doubt want to explore and take part in various activities.

Each of our caravan holiday parks offers different activities to keep all ages occupied after you have finished with your Easter egg hunt. You can visit a play park for a few hours or choose a site with a swimming pool so that your kids can have fun while you get in a spot of exercise!

Booking Your Easter Caravan Holiday

Now is the perfect time to plan your Easter holiday, and with so many options, you’re bound to find something that’s ideal for the whole family. However, if you’re struggling for inspiration, why not look at caravan holiday parks right here in the UK?

Not only are they closer to home meaning that you will not need to fork out a ton in travel costs, but there’s sure to be a caravan park to suit everyone. You will no doubt want to choose the perfect location with Easter activities that will keep all ages occupied, but if you are not convinced that a caravan holiday is right for you, then let us prove you wrong!
