National Grandparents Day 2022: Celebrate with Allen's
Allens Caravans

National Grandparents’ Day is set to fall on Sunday 2 October 2022, and our parks are permanent and holiday homes to many grandparents. As a result, we feel it’s our duty to honour all the grandparents out there by highlighting National Grandparents’ Day.

The celebration has been celebrated on the first Sunday of October since 2008 and was first founded by the charity, Age Concern. The purpose of the day is to celebrate grandparents and give them their time in the spotlight. Whether you reminisce on your favourite childhood memories of them or make new memories together, National Grandparents’ Day is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Know About Living in a Mobile Home Permanently in the UK

Predominantly, it’s thought that mobile homes are for the elderly. Though this isn’t strictly the case, many of our residents living in a mobile home in the UK are retired. It’s for this reason that the honouring of National Grandparents’ Day is incredibly important to us.

Anyone wondering what to know about mobile homes must first understand that the community spirit is high. This is one of the factors that make park living so suitable for elderly people, as you can rest assured that you’ll never feel lonely, even if you live alone.

In addition to a strong sense of community, each of our residential parks is equipped with an array of facilities, such as swimming pools, games rooms, tennis courts, bowling greens, community halls, clubhouses and bars, cafes, restaurants, and much more. Therefore, if you’re a grandparent living on our parks, why not get the grandkids over to enjoy this smorgasbord of activities?

Static Holiday Homes in the UK

Now, park life isn’t for everyone all year round, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t experience it for a portion of the year. Our holiday parks are perfect for those who want the best of both worlds: a traditional brick-and-mortar home for the majority of the year and a static caravan for the occasional getaway!

As with our residential parks, our holiday parks are rich in community spirit. As a result, they’re the perfect setting for grandparents and grandchildren to get away from the pressures of everyday life and simply enjoy being in pleasant company.

Similarly, the number of facilities we have is extensive, including bowling greens, pitch and putt, football/basketball courts, tennis courts, soft play, games rooms, cafes, restaurants, swimming pools, community halls, clubhouses and bars, and many more. Consequently, there’s so much to do for grandparents and grandchildren alike to enjoy.

Best Holidays for the Elderly in the UK

Here at Allens, we pride ourselves on providing the best holidays for all manner of individuals, whether they be nine or 90. The diversity in activities that we offer, and the stunning locations mean that our parks are loved by people all across the country. In honour of National Grandparents’ Day, perhaps you’ll join us this October, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Browse Our Locations and Locate a Park at Allens

Most importantly, we hope that you have a fantastic Grandparents’ Day this 2022 and that all the grandparents out there are spoilt rotten, because they’re worth it.

Similarly, if you have any queries or concerns, we’re always happy to assist you!
