Caravan Park Holidays Worcestershire

Worcester is the ideal place for a caravan park holiday. It’s in the Midlands, so it’s easily accessible by road and rail from major cities like London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester. But Worcestershire itself is largely rural. Its largest settlement is the historic cathedral city of Worcester and other significant towns include the market towns of Kidderminster and the spa town of Malvern.

The rest of the county consists of market towns, quaint villages and over 600 square miles of famously green and verdant countryside. Worcestershire is a county of hills, vales and river valleys that are a delight to explore and roam around. Every acre boasts natural beauty. Worcestershire is also a county with rich and fascinating history, from its medieval cathedrals and castles to snug Georgian high streets, ancient villages and modern retail, entertainment and dining experiences.

Worcestershire has ancient woodlands, vibrant cities, glamorous gardens, challenging trails, wonderful waterways, spectacular views, quiet spots and fantastic food. Whether you want to do all, some, one or none of these things on your caravan holiday, Worcestershire can be the place for your ideal getaway.

Holiday Caravan Sites in Worcestershire

Allens Caravans has two caravan parks in Worcestershire, both with caravans and plots available to buy for holiday homes. Each has a distinct character.

Bredon View is near the historic market town of Pershore and sits on the edge of the Cotswolds. It’s our newest park, opened in 2021 and freshly redeveloped and expanded from its original purpose as Comberton Golf Club. Now Bredon View is a very special sort of caravan holiday park; one that combines modern luxury and nature. This is an adult-friendly park that’s been designed, built and maintained to provide a peaceful, relaxing and quiet place to recharge and enjoy exactly the company you want to have fun and do exactly what you want to do.

Abbot’s Salford holiday park

Abbot’s Salford is an established and popular caravan park on a riverside site deep in the Vale of Evesham, surrounded by fruit orchards and woodlands. This is the perfect place for families to escape for quality time together – whether that’s fun, relaxation or adventure. Our Abbot’s Salford Park is adjacent to the historic village of the same name, in the midst of the rolling fields of the Avon valley. It’s equidistant between the charming market towns of Evesham and Alcester – this really is the classic English countryside.

Both these parks offer seclusion while being well-connected for the start and end of your holiday or if you want to get away for a day. By car the M5 motorway and key A-roads bring you to Worcestershire from all directions, and both Evesham and Pershore are also served by direct trains from London Paddington. Whichever park you choose to purchase a holiday home, you can easily access it with no hassle!

Facilities At Our Caravan Holiday Parks in Worcestershire

We’re confident that Bredon View is the only site of its type in Britain that has been designed to sit alongside its natural environment. Mature trees and newly planted woodland dot the site, between wildflower meadows, lawns and grassland. The site lies alongside the River Avon, with exclusive private fishing spots.

You can enjoy a walk through woodlands to spot deer or a riverside stroll to look for otters and herons. The original golf course is now an 18-hole private course for residents and guests at Bredon View. And all without having to leave the park. Bredon View also boasts an on-site clubhouse, and caravans are available with private hot tubs recessed into the terrace.

To suit its more family-orientated character, Abbot’s Salford has a wider range of on-site facilities to keep both adults and children happy and entertained. There’s a clubhouse and bar, a restaurant and café which combine to offer a wide range of food and drink options depending on the time of day, taste and mood.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, there’s an indoor games room and a fully equipped live entertainment space. When it does, there’s an outdoor children’s playground as well as a football/basketball court. For spending more serene time amid nature, the park has both private riverside fishing spots on the River Avon and an on-site carp pond. For getting in the water rather than tempting fish out of it, there’s a heated outdoor pool.

And when we say that Abbot’s Salford is for all the family, we mean it – the park welcomes dogs both in caravans, around the park and in the clubhouse and bar (so long as they’re well-behaved, of course!).

When you purchase a caravan as a holiday home in our Worcestershire parks, this environment and these facilities become yours to enjoy whenever you want. With a park caravan, you can have a holiday home with all this to do and enjoy on your doorstep – something that isn’t available to owners of standard holiday homes. And all that’s without considering the wealth of activities, spaces and opportunities that are nearby in the rest of Worcestershire.

Activities To Do on Your Caravan Holiday in Worcestershire

It may sound strange, but we don’t want you to spend all your holiday time in our parks! There are so many things and places to do and see, whether that’s right on the doorstep or a good day trip away. Here are some examples of things you can do in Worcestershire near Bredon View and Abbot’s Salford.

  • Bredon Hill: Unsurprisingly, this is only three miles from Bredon View but also makes for an ideal day trip from Abbot’s Salford. This striking isolated hill rises out of the Vale of Evesham to a height of 1000ft (300m). It provides stunning views across up to eight counties and plenty of wildlife.
  • West Midlands Safari Park: Near the town of Bewdley, this award-winning park has 200 acres and over 160 species. It was the first park in the UK to host all of the ‘African Big Five’ animals – lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants and hippos. It also has the largest pack of meerkats in the UK and the country’s largest walk-through lemur enclosure. The park is also home to tigers, reptiles, an aquarium and penguins.
  • The Severn Valley Railway: Step back in time on one of the country’s finest heritage railways. Running for 16 miles along the picturesque Severn river valley, you can ride in vintage carriages behind preserved steam engines between beautifully restored stations. The railway runs a busy programme of special and themed events through the year.
  • Broadway & The Cotswolds: Both our Worcestershire caravan parks sit on the edge of the Cotswolds, one of Britain’s most famously beautiful National Landscapes. This is an area of snug villages with honey-coloured stone buildings, fine pubs, inviting tea rooms and tempting shops, nestling between hills with hundreds of miles of footpaths to ramble over. The village of Broadway, just a 20-minute drive from either of our parks, is often considered one of the prettiest villages in England.

You really can’t do better than caravan holidays in Worcestershire. Purchase a holiday home in Bredon View or Abbots Salford and you’ll have a base for a perfect getaway. Whether that’s a relaxing time amid nature without leaving the park or a family holiday full of adventures. A short break or a stay of several weeks. Somewhere you’ll visit regularly or save for one big occasion each year. It can be up to you.
