May is National Family Wellness Month.

This month is used as a reminder that you should spend more time with your family and really show those closest to you just how much they mean to you.

Family Wellness is something that impacts every single one of us, because in some way or another, we all have a family of our own. The medical health of our families is important to us but healthy family lifestyles and habits within the family can affect the wellness in a family too. It is said that the healthier each individual in the family is, the healthier the family as a group is as a whole.

May Day

Why not choose a Bank Holiday in May to whisk your family away on a caravanning holiday with Allens Caravans?

When families are away on holiday they become less stressed as they are away from the stresses and strains of everyday life and a busy work place, the children will also be happier as they are spending quality time with their parents and have a new sense of freedom in their ‘new home’ for a week or two.

You can also become more active as a family on holiday; you can get involved in all sorts of activities in and around the holiday park such as horse rides, fishing, water sports, walking in the countryside, bike rides and so much more.

Then you can take days out as a family to visit local attractions such as museums, wildlife parks, market towns, beaches and similar. In the evenings you will be able to have more time spare to cook healthier meals in your holiday home, or even go out for some great meals in the local town.

It is important to remember that wellness is something that should be practised all year round, so don’t worry if you cannot book a holiday away in May, you don’t have to celebrate Family Wellness Month in May – you can celebrate it all through the year.
