Allens Caravans: Celebrate International Golf Month
Allens Caravans

The month of August is famously known as International Golf Month.

It’s one whole month when golfers are strongly encouraged to get out and about on the golf course and celebrate the international month of golf.

Staying at Allens Caravans Holiday Parks or Caravan Parks in Northampton leaves you with plenty of choices for local golf courses to play on, some within minutes and some just a little further away. We have listed some of the top golf courses in Northampton below for you;

Where to go:

You can go to Overstone Park Golf Club which has 18 holes with a pine-clad Scandanavian style bar and terrace restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee and cake. The golf course is open to both private members along with one off pay and play golfers.

Alternatively, Cold Ashby Gold Course is very popular too, it’s an 18 hole golf course set in two hundred acres of the finest upland countryside in Northamptonshire. If you go in the snowy weather you will find the golf course is converted into a ski centre with two ski-lifts.

You could also go to the Collingtree Park Golf Club which offers a championship 18 hole golf course with ten of the holes on water and the last hole on an island green. This golf course is a challenge for even the most experienced golfer.

If you’re looking to sharpen up your game then Delapre Golf Course could be the place for you. It has 18 holes in 260 acres of mature parkland along with a short (but very testing) 9 hole course and two 9-hole par 3 golf courses which offer a similar length but who’s characters could not be further apart. This is alongside a 9 hole pitch and putt which offers a shorter game to help with sharpening up your golfing skills.

There are lots more wonderful golf courses in the Northampton area; these are just some of the favourites. If you’re looking for weekend away ideas then why not take advantage of International Golf Month and book yourself a golfing holiday?
