The majority of guests stay with us for up to ten months of the year and often return year after year to their favourite ‘home away from home’ place. Sometimes it’s nice to give something back to the community when you go on holiday and we think we have found the thing for you.
At Sywell Country Park, just down the road from Overstone Lakes, there is a Volunteer Day on the first Saturday of every month. You can pop down for a few hours between 10am and 4pm and help the rangers with the chosen tasks for the day.
These tasks could be anything like cutting down trees, litter picking, cleaning out the ponds or lakes, planting trees and seeds, painting buildings or any other outdoor activities that will help the country park improve.
Give something back to the community on your holiday – maybe even take a picnic down there with you!
