Allens Caravans

If you thought the popularity of family caravan holidays was on the decline then think again, as during the last two months major UK caravan manufacturer Swift has received over £40 million worth of orders.

Based in East Yorkshire, Swift are now on track to produce over 2,000 vehicles, including motorhomes, caravans and motorhomes for clients across the globe.

High-Quality Vehicle Manufacturing: A £5.5 Million Breakthrough Order

Renowned for their high quality, it’s likely that a majority of the vehicles built will be used for luxury caravan holidays, with one order being totalled at a whopping £5.5m, the largest order the company has ever received since it was established in 1964.

This is excellent news for the company, which has three centres across the UK and employs over 1000 people, recording a 25% increase in holiday home orders since the beginning of September, as well as a 30% increase in sales of its popular motorhomes.

Swift attributes the success to their new 2014 range, including their new Kon-Tiki Black Edition motorhome which features central heating, chrome finishes and a luxurious leather interior. Priced at over £70,000, the magnificent motorhome also comes with plenty of storage and state-of-the-art gadgets, including speakers, solar panels and soft Italian furnishings.

These record-breaking sales figures should come as no surprise after Swift made a successful appearance at the Dusseldorf Caravan show earlier this month, flying the flag for British caravans and showing the rest of Europe their impressive range.

Swift also had their own section at Birmingham’s Caravan & Motorhome show at the NEC arena, which this year attracted record-breaking attendance levels of over 100,000 during the six day event.

James Turner, the managing director of Swift, believes their high sales figures can be explained by their appearances at these popular annual shows, which provide an ideal opportunity for Swift to showcase their latest products to customers. They also offer a chance to not only interact with customers and get a sense of the features they want within their vehicle, but also to check out the competition from other manufacturers.

Swift are therefore scheduled to make an appearance at the 2014 Caravan & Camping Show again at the NEC between the 18 – 23 Feburary, where they’ll be displaying their models to the general public and answering any enquiries.
