A Day in the Life at Overstone Solarium - Allens Blog
Allens Caravans

After our first year at Overstone Solarium, we can firmly say that we’ve never been happier. Being nestled in the stunning Northamptonshire countryside gives us with a sense of freedom as we’re able to explore the natural setting on a daily basis.

Ahead of moving to Overstone Solarium we lived in a small village, and we wanted to be able to replicate this relaxed setting. In this sense, Overstone Solarium was perfect as we soon found ourselves comfortable in a small and friendly community. We often found ourselves bored at our previous address due to limited activities in such a tiny village; however, the holiday-esque activities at Overstone Solarium mean that we’re able to enjoy the laidback atmosphere of a village without feeling isolated.

The Incredible Facilities

Here at Overstone Solarium, we’re able to enjoy the likes of lake fishing and beautiful countryside walks to unwind after a busy week. On top of the relaxing nature, it also ensures that we’re getting fresh air frequently which does wonders for our health. We also ensure that our physical health is in top condition by playing on the tennis courts, bowling at the bowling greens, and swimming in the heated outdoor pool. Before moving here, we really struggled to find fun types of exercise that we didn’t mind doing regularly. However, the various amenities on offer have meant that we’re consistently active and feel so much better for it.

Of course, we don’t spend all our time exercising. We also pay regular visits to the clubhouse and bar, café, and restaurant. Whether we’re after a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a scrumptious meal, we never have to wander far from our front door. Similarly, there’s a convenience shop on-site, so we’re never short of the essentials in our home.

The Local Scene

The local area in which Overstone Solarium is located offers everything you could possibly need within a matter of miles. Not only is there a hairdressers actually on the residential site, but you can find the likes of a supermarket, doctors’ surgery, and dentist just down the road. The stunning countryside setting means that even your essential trips feel like an adventure within the most natural of surroundings. Personally, we don’t enjoy areas of high traffic such as busy cities, making Overstone Solarium and the surrounding area ideally suited to our needs. As you get older, you find yourself on the hunt for complete peace and serenity. Thankfully, we have been successful in our search here.

Despite this, if we would like to opt for something slightly busier, we’re only a short drive away from the centre of Northampton. Here, we’re able to take in the breath-taking views of historical buildings and enjoy multiple other aspects of history since Northampton dates all the way back to the Bronze Age.

The Close-Knit Community

One of our favourite things about park living is the tight-knit community; you’re never far from a friend. We settled in almost immediately, befriending our next-door neighbours and mingling with other residents in the social spaces. As a result, we feel extremely secure in our home and trust that it will be looked after, even in our absence. We’ve found that everyone here has similar interests, meaning we were able to make connections easily.

Not only are the other residents particularly welcoming and friendly, but the onsite staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. We feel as though we’re valued members of the community to residents and staff alike. There isn’t a thing we’d change about the community spirit of Overstone Solarium.
